To convert the Montes de Hierro Greenway into a product that generates wealth and employment by involving businesses in the area.
Montenoso is a transdisciplinary community that studies, draws attention to and promotes communal mountain area communities in Galicia, as well as any other manifestations of the commons, and it comprises artists, architects, computer programmers and researchers.
Montenoso’s proposal was to focus on the people and their relationship with nature, understanding this as an ecosystem in order to draw attention to people’s lives with that of the Montes de Hierro Greenway path. It aims was to focus not only on the resource, but also all that it encompasses.
Understanding nature as an ecosystem and the path as a connector of stories and knowledge, a place through which the memories of lives pass and knowledge is located. With this proposal in mind, the aim was to draw attention to the lives that were intertwined with the Montes de Hierro Greenway.
Work was done with a local heterogeneous group of the six municipalities that make up the ADR’s area of operation in order to convert the resource into a product that could generate wealth and employment. The individual users, agents and management modes of the Greenway were identified in the various sessions. The process was focused on securing resources and managed to unite forces between the agents involved and reach agreements on the steps to follow.
The result was a card game in which a narrator serves as a guiding thread. Each of the cards represented all the resources that are available: economic, management, heritage and tourist.
